Create a layer

Here you'll create a layer containing an exact copy of the canvas image, so you can perform the woodcut effect in color (color output) on the canvas and, later, perform the woodcut effect in black and white (black output) on the new layer.

1. In Painter 7™, open the sample file, or an image of your own.
2. Click Select menu All.
3. Click Edit menu Copy.
4. Click Edit menu Paste.

A new layer containing the image copy displays in the Layers section of the Objects palette.
